Sunset Groves: A Harmonious Dialogue Between Architecture and Nature

Located at the northwestern edge of Τhe Ellinikon, Athens, Sunset Groves is a new residential and mixed-use development designed by A&M Architects in collaboration with Petras Architecture. Strategically positioned next to The Ellinikon Park and Beach, the complex enjoys direct access to green zones, pedestrian pathways, and public spaces, seamlessly connecting to the broader urban fabric.

A Landmark of Contemporary Living by the Sea

The project comprises five buildings arranged along a diagonal axis, their prismatic forms subtly shifting towards the sea horizon. This geometric clarity contrasts with the fluid, organic landscape that extends from theadjacent park, featuring sculptural planting and undulating natural formations. Together, they shape a multi-layered environment for relaxation and social interaction, redefining the concept of contemporary urban living. The development includes 99 residences, a dynamic mix of commercials paces, and a standalone dining pavilion, envisioned as a landmark destination within the neighborhood. Below ground, a unified parking facility accommodates188 spaces, including provisions for electric vehicles and accessible parking.

Residences are distributed across three buildings, while a fourth structure blends housing with retail, and the fifth stands as an independent gastronomic hub. The architectural composition embraces movement and fluidity, balconies and architectural elements are arranged in a sculptural rhythm, disrupting vertical symmetry and animating the façades. Varying balcony depths and semi-outdoor spaces enhance privacy, while generous distances between buildings create a protected communal green space that fosters interaction and retreat.

A Green Neighborhood unfolds

At the heart of thecomplex, a "green neighborhood" unfolds, interweaving planted areas, walking paths, recreational spots, and dedicated spaces for play and relaxationaround a central water feature. The façades emphasize horizontal linearity, punctuated by white architectural projections and integrated planters thatreinforce the project's green identity. Perforated enclosures discreetlyconceal mechanical systems while enhancing privacy for residents.
