Situated on a trapezoidal plot in Isterni, Paros, the design of this residential complex carefully balances architecture with its natural surroundings. Comprising two residences, the layout creates a dynamic interplay of walls that unify the structures into a cohesive, settlement-like composition. The thoughtful arrangement establishes a fluid boundary, enhancing both privacy and connectivity within the space.
The exteriormateriality embraces a raw, textured finish, allowing the buildings to blendseamlessly into the environment and minimizing their visual impact. Incontrast, the interiors are enveloped in the traditional Parian white, creatinga bright and serene atmosphere. This interplay of textures and tones reinforcesa dialogue between the built and natural elements, celebrating the island’sarchitectural heritage while maintaining a contemporary character.

The undulating perimeter of the residences introduces asense of movement, forming inviting niches that enhance the outdoor livingexperience. These alcoves provide sheltered seating areas, thoughtfully shadedby Kalamoti canopies, offering a balance of openness and intimacy. At the sametime, the carefully crafted recesses create a sense of privacy, allowingresidents to enjoy moments of seclusion while remaining connected to thesurrounding landscape. By integrating these organic elements, the design fostersa seamless connection between indoor and outdoor spaces, embracing the island’sclimate and lifestyle.
The interior spaces are designed with a simple yet elegantapproach, using raw materials that evoke a deep connection to the surroundinglandscape. White clay walls, walnut wood details, and handcrafted clay tilescreate a warm and tactile environment that embraces slow living. These naturalelements, combined with an emphasis on openness and natural light, allowresidents to experience the rhythms of the Cyclades—the shifting sunlight, thecoastal breeze, and the rich Mediterranean vegetation—fostering a lifestylethat is both tranquil and in harmony with nature.
